Happy Independence Day!
I am proud to be an American. I was raised that you work hard for what you want, you have the ability to do anything you put your mind and heart to, you pray for your country and it's leaders, you thank the men and women who fought for your freedom, you recognize the brilliance of our Founding Fathers, you fly your American flag proudly, and you celebrate your freedom on one of my favorite little holidays that falls on July 4th! Independence Day!
This Independence Day, I am particularly thankful for the men and women past and present, who have put their lives on the line for our freedom...Freedom hasn't come without cost. Just listen to this legacy of freedom fighters in my family alone: My Grandpa Ballard (Army), my Grandpa Moran (Marines & Army Air Corp), my husband's Grandpa Ellis (Navy), my Great Uncle Bob (Army), my Dad (Army), my Uncle Mike Ballard (Navy), My Uncle Jack (Marines), my husband's Uncle Ron (Navy), my Uncle Mike Moran (Marines), my Cousin Shannon (Army), my cousin Seth (Army), and my cousins, Aaron (Currently Army), Nick (Currently Marines), & Tim (Currently Army). Please say a prayer for those last three and a special prayer for my cousin, Aaron, Army Special Forces, who is currently serving in the War on Terror, location unknown. Thank you to my family, for your courage and sacrifice. And thank you to all the men and women that are currently serving to keep our country free. Happy Independence Day.

Great post! In the midst of all our hustle and bustle these days, it's a great reminder that our freedom hasn't come to us free. Thank you to all those who have served or are serving today - we owe you. The gift you help preserve daily is priceless and for that we are appreciative! Great blog Cori!!
