Carrie Pink's Fall Wedding

Love the uniqueness of this Fall wedding I did at the Denver Botanic Gardens.  A couple of my favorite elements from this wedding:

  • Bridesmaid Dresses!  They all wore tea-length dresses in different styles and colors that they picked out.  How many bridesmaids get to do that?!  Because of the many colors in their dresses, Carrie wanted their flowers fairly simple white bouquets of white calla lilies, roses, and stephanotis.
  • Green Apple, Hydrangea, Cymbidium Orchid, and Rose Centerpieces.  I absolutely love incorporating fruits of all kinds in my designs.
  •  The Groom!  I love how well Nina Barry captured his absolute radiance and excitement.
  •  Carrie's Amazing Wedding Gown!  Just look at all the detailing and layers in the back--beautiful!

Carrie, it was a blast working with you!  Congratulations!  Marriage is a precious and wonderful gift!

Lindsey & Mitch

I loved working on this wedding with Lindsey (I know I say it a lot, but I really did!  I love my job and I love working with great brides!).  When we met for coffee early this summer, Lindsey had chosen classic black bridesmaid dresses.  She wanted deep reds and crimsons for her flowers, but feared it might look too dark. I suggested she use black and white damask runners.  She bought these beautiful runners from Etsy, one of my favorite online stores that specializes in unique and handmade products great for wedding use!  The damask pattern then became a running theme, used on the guest book table and on her escort cards.  We also added a "pop" of chartreuse green to add some color. The result: Classic and Glamourous!  Congrats Lindsey & Mitch!

A special thanks to Merissa Pratt for the beautiful photos.  Look forward to working together again, Merissa!

Fall Wedding at the Phipps' Tennis Pavillion

I love when photos just capture the moment perfectly!  When I got back these photos from a wedding I did at the Phipps' Tennis Pavilion in Denver, I fell in love with this first picture.  The bride and groom look so delighted and carefree, almost as if on a mission to begin conquering the world together!  This wedding was a last minute booking for September.  I wanted to do it because I liked Sarah so much and loved her casual vintage flair. She certainly pulled off a beautiful vintage old world look!  We used a seasonal assortment of flowers for her bouquets including dahlias, green hydrangea, orange cymbidium orchids, orange circus roses, red spray roses, veronica, twisted curly willow, billy balls, and a new favorite: queen anne's lace.  Beautiful!  Congrats Sarah!

Abigayle & John

When I met Abigayle and John at our consultation at Peaberrys, I knew I wanted to work with them.  First of all, I love when grooms are involved in the wedding planning process, especially when they come to the consultation!  It's so fun to get their input---plus it gives me a chance to see them together to determine their style and personality.  If I don't meet the groom at the consultation, I always make a point to meet them on their wedding day, ask them how they are feeling, and of course, help them pin-on their boutonniere (People really have trouble with this!).  It's moments like these that make my job very special.

But back to Abigayle and John!  This beautiful couple is from Tennessee and I instantly was endeared to their warmness and southern charm and knew we would get along great.  Abigayle has a great sense of style as you can see in her photos.  She went with a slate blue dress for her bridesmaids and threw in a little nod to her southern roots by inviting her bridesmaids to wear cowboy boots under their long gowns.  Such a fun detail!

We choose a ivory, green, and pale pink romantic color palate for her flowers, using garden roses, cymbidium orchids, sweet pea (her favorite!), hydrangea, dahlias, veronica (one of my favorites!), seeded eucalyptus, folded ti-leaves, and silver brunia to tie it all in with her dresses.  Beautiful!

Enjoy these lovely photos from the talented Meghan Valentine.  To see more of John & Abigayle's Wedding, check out her blog.
