Fall Wedding at the Phipps' Tennis Pavillion

I love when photos just capture the moment perfectly!  When I got back these photos from a wedding I did at the Phipps' Tennis Pavilion in Denver, I fell in love with this first picture.  The bride and groom look so delighted and carefree, almost as if on a mission to begin conquering the world together!  This wedding was a last minute booking for September.  I wanted to do it because I liked Sarah so much and loved her casual vintage flair. She certainly pulled off a beautiful vintage old world look!  We used a seasonal assortment of flowers for her bouquets including dahlias, green hydrangea, orange cymbidium orchids, orange circus roses, red spray roses, veronica, twisted curly willow, billy balls, and a new favorite: queen anne's lace.  Beautiful!  Congrats Sarah!

Abigayle & John

When I met Abigayle and John at our consultation at Peaberrys, I knew I wanted to work with them.  First of all, I love when grooms are involved in the wedding planning process, especially when they come to the consultation!  It's so fun to get their input---plus it gives me a chance to see them together to determine their style and personality.  If I don't meet the groom at the consultation, I always make a point to meet them on their wedding day, ask them how they are feeling, and of course, help them pin-on their boutonniere (People really have trouble with this!).  It's moments like these that make my job very special.

But back to Abigayle and John!  This beautiful couple is from Tennessee and I instantly was endeared to their warmness and southern charm and knew we would get along great.  Abigayle has a great sense of style as you can see in her photos.  She went with a slate blue dress for her bridesmaids and threw in a little nod to her southern roots by inviting her bridesmaids to wear cowboy boots under their long gowns.  Such a fun detail!

We choose a ivory, green, and pale pink romantic color palate for her flowers, using garden roses, cymbidium orchids, sweet pea (her favorite!), hydrangea, dahlias, veronica (one of my favorites!), seeded eucalyptus, folded ti-leaves, and silver brunia to tie it all in with her dresses.  Beautiful!

Enjoy these lovely photos from the talented Meghan Valentine.  To see more of John & Abigayle's Wedding, check out her blog.

Happy Brides!

You wanna know what makes my day?  Happy Brides!  Here are a couple of messages I have received from a couple of my sweet October brides:

"Cori, You are an amazing floral designer! Our flowers were gorgeous! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Olivia wouldn't put hers down the entire day! You have a wonderful gift." - Meredith

Sent to myself and her talented photographer, Meghan Valentine:  "Thank you so much for everything! I can't thank ya'll enough...it was all perfect!  Anyone would be lucky to have you two involved in their wedding!!! Thank you both again for everything. It was perfect!!"  - Abigayle

And just because, below is an example about how simplicity in design for your ceremony can really make a big impact!  I love the heavy coverage of rose petals down the aisle and the simple white orchid garlands that hang from that gorgeous tree!  Ahhh---beautiful!

Kristin & Mikey

Very, very excited to share this wedding with you.  Mikey is a long-time friend of mine from college.  He is a very special and wonderful friend to my husband and I.  He is also the only friend that shows up to our door ringing bells in a Santa Suit and begging for cookies.  He's just that kind of friend...and we love him for that. We knew that when he was ready to settle down, the girl he would marry would be amazing.  And she is! Kristin is an absolute jewel.  I can't imagine a person who could better compliment our dear friend!  She is beautiful, fun, outgoing, and just "gets" Mikey. I really believe they were made for each other...Congrats Mikey & Kristin!  We love you both and can't wait to share with you in this beautiful journey called marriage.

And, on a flower note, Kristin's got style!  I was delighted to hear she wanted a romantic, vintage garden look for her flowers and that her favorite flowers were peonies and garden roses (the third post in a row to mention these beauties---I'm on a roll!).  Truly a girl after my own heart.  We used a few shades of pink peonies, vendela roses, and a charming pink garden roses.  Enjoy the beautiful photos compliments of Siang of Lightphoria.  I am a big fan---Siang is a true professional and talented artist!  Enjoy friends!

Above: If you're wondering who the hottie is on the left, that would be my sweet husband---I'm a lucky girl.
