Denver Wedding | Grey & Yellow | Particulars + Cori Cook Floral Design

My very favorite colors and flowers came together this fall for one beautiful wedding at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.  A punchy grey, yellow, and white color palette was played out with yellow garden roses, billy balls, oncidium orchids, airplants, and pieris...

There are only a few weeks here in Denver that my favorite little draping accent flower, pieris, is available, and much to my delight, this was it's glory week.  You should hear the squeals around here when pieris proudly enters the studio.  It's kind of ridiculous that this little flower creates such a commotion.  But it totally does.  See it peeking out of the girl's bouquets, creating the perfect draping effect?

This wedding really was a joy to be a part of.  I always love an opportunity to work with Emily of Particulars and the ways she adds fun to every event!

Enjoy this lovely wedding.  And feel free to leave a comment expressing your love for that pieris (:

Jenn & Adam at The Tapestry House

I am so excited to share these pictures!  I so enjoyed working on this wedding in large part due to Jenn.  Jenn is such a fun person to work with.  She has great vision, but unlike most people with great vision, she is also very organized and detailed.  Jenn and I worked the majority of the time over the phone since she lives in Seattle, but by the time we met a few months before the wedding to exchange some vases, I felt like I had made a new friend!  Jenn is a beautiful person inside and out and I enjoyed her sheer excitement for her wedding and marriage to Adam.  She even baked all her vendors cookies for the day of the wedding---how thoughtful is that?! Jenn, congratulations!  I pray your marriage will be as full of joy and wonder as your gorgeous wedding!

Enjoy these lovely pics from Becky Young Photography (I am a big fan of hers!)

Bombay Nights

Billy Balls + Pool Floats + PUNJAMMIES + Indian dancers = What? BOMBAY NIGHTS! I was honored to do flowers for this extraordinary event. Bombay Nights is a Gala fundraiser at the Orange County Mansion to benefit International Princess Project. "What is International Princess Project?" you might ask! Well, let me tell you! In short, International Princess Project is a non-profit organization that works with women in India and around the world that have been forced into prostitution. Its aim is to work with rescued women at local after care centers to help provide them with a trade to support themselves: sewing. The women sew these chic pajama pants reminiscent of their own colorful saris (the fabric of India). International Princess Project then sells the PUNJAMMIES here in America. The girls earn a fair trade wage, are able to set up savings accounts, and learn a trade in which they can support themselves with dignity, while at the same time also receiving emotional, physical, and spiritual care.

Just listen to the mission: ADVOCATING for women enslaved in prostitution, RESTORING their broken lives, EMPOWERING them to live free. I am all about this.

Enjoy the photos below of the flowers at Bombay Nights. I just loved the little Indian containers we used.

Photos compliments of Marc Weisberg Studio.
