Couture Wedding Flowers | Private Residence, Denver

Remember when we did a sneak peek of Shannon's Wedding back in June?  Well, today, we are so happy to share the rest of the wedding...one of our favorites of the year (I know it seems like we always say that, but give us a break---we like what we do!).  

The reception was held at Shannons' parents' beautiful home in Denver, complete with a fabric draped tent, chandeliers, and a barn that was converted for an "Irish Pub" for an after party.  We designed bouquets and arrangements that would be the primary "pop" of color for the bridesmaids and reception tent.  I love how it turned out!  And I also love weddings at private residences---they are so personal and fun.  Enjoy this lovely wedding.  Congratulations Shannon & Bryan!  Stay in touch (:

The Bridal Bouquet was a classic mix of white mini calla lilies and white roses.

Boutonnieres were made of calla lilies, mokara orchids, and dusty miller leaf.  

For the ceremony, we decided to not try to compete with the church decor, which is very traditional and ornate, and keep our arrangements classic and simple.  We lined glass cylinder vases down the aisle with submerged calla lilies or swirled steele grass, complete with a floating candle.  We also designed two large white arrangements for the front of the church that sat on duponi-silk, fabric-covered pedestals.

I loved how well the bride's family coordinated!

For the reception, since we had 33 tables to work with, we decided to design three types of centerpiece.  I love this concept as long as there is careful attention paid to making sure the 3 styles coordinate well with each other.  The first style was a large glass vase of purple dendrobium orchids.  This style had a crystal suspended in the vase.  The second style was a cluster of three square vases with grey taffeta banding and broaching.  Each had a monobontanical arrangement inside. (This was our favorite style!).  The third style was a classic cylinder vase arrangement with grey taffeta banding and brooching, with a lush arrangement of fuchsia and purple florals.

And now, for the very first time on my blog, I am very excited to share some pics taken by my husband, a budding and talented new photographer.  He just got his first real camera and has been diligently taking shots of all the centerpieces at all our weddings this summer.  And I am a proud wifey...the photos below are his.  

Ashley & Matt's Wedding

I am in love with these photos. I cannot say enough about how fun it was to be a part of this wedding. I got to work with my cousin-to-be and in the process made a really great friendship with her! Ashley had BIG vision for her wedding flowers (a quality that compliments my style!) She choose pale yellow bridesmaid dresses with plum colored flowers for "pop." Ashley loves orchids so we made sure to use them in many forms in her bouquets, the bridesmaid bouquets, her arch, centerpieces, buffet displays, escort cards...you name it and there was probably an orchid in it (:

Other favs about the wedding include: their custom written wedding vows, tables named after mountain towns, the bridal party first dance (which was a choreographed number to "Soilder Boy"), and their photographer, Karina Henghan! Karina is both fun and professional and let's be honest, she is a killer photographer! Just look at these shots! Another great vendor at this wedding was Continental Divine! Their catering is amazing. They have a great staff that are efficient, friendly, and helpful! Ashley and Matt's wedding was planned to the tee with tray passed appetizers (And who can pass up their famous "frickles?"), carving stations, and a kids buffet!
