Crooked Willow Farms Reception | Jodi + Drew Part II

We do custom weddings.  It's our thing.  We want our brides to feel special and valued on their big day and part of that is personalizing their flowers to their unique personalities and interests.  For some this means incorporating their grandmother's vintage brooch on their bouquet.  For others, it means using flowers that have special meaning to them.  For Jodi it meant designing flowers that not only coordinated with Crooked Willow's country luxe feel, but that also celebrated her and Drew's love story.  To do this, we took one of Jodi's favorite flowers - sunflowers - and created centerpieces that revolved around this flower and arranged them in hand-stained wooden boxes that had a each personalized "J + D" carved into them.  For some we designed sunflower pomanders on giant manzinita branches (these were over 5 ft. tall!).  And for a lower centerpiece, we designed a country-luxe arrangement of hydrangea, sunflowers, billy balls, wheat, and dusty miller.  I love how they both turned out.

The other thing I love about this wedding was the perfectly coordinated details.  From start to finish, there was a strong sunflower, country luxe theme that manifested itself in each detail.  Escort Cards were attached to small metal horseshoes.  Each place setting had a rattan charger plate with a packet of sunflower seeds as favors.  All around Crooked Willow were hand-painted wooden signs directing guests where to go.  There was a western wheel chandelier that hung above the dance floor with a swanky lounge area for relaxing, complete with western furniture provided by Crooked Willow.  Jessica did fantastic job with all these details and was a joy to work with every step of the way.  Congratulations, Jodi & Drew!  You two are the sweetest!!!

A Vintage Affair Rentals + Laura Murray Photography | E Session

Have I ever mentioned how much I love Laura Murray's photography?  Well, I do!  Her soft, vintagey outdoor engagement sessions make me swoon and are completely unique to her style.  I love any chance to work with her.

Well, now I have a new friend too!  Meet Jessica, from A Vintage Affair Rentals.  This is her adorable engagement shoot photographed by the talented Laura Murray Photography.  I had the chance to meet Jessica a few weeks ago and had such a good time getting to know her.  And her company rocks!  If you are in need of amazing vintage details for your wedding like a sweet antique dresser for your dessert bar, tinted mason jars, flag banners, escort card displays, etc, she is your girl.  She has an amazing online inventory and is always collecting new vintage items to add to her collection of rentals.

We so enjoyed working with Jessica and Laura to create a bouquet for this swoon-worthy engagement shoot!  ENJOY!

Beaver Creek Wedding Deck | Jamie & Bryan

Happy Monday everyone!  Hope you are enjoying this last set of weddings we have been blogging that are all in the Beaver Creek/Vail area!  This year, we have had the pleasure of doing many more mountain weddings than years prior----And we love them.  There is nothing more beautiful than the gorgeous Rocky Mountains as your ceremony backdrop.  This lovely bride lucked out for weather.  As many of you have probably experiences, Colorado weather can be quite unpredictable!  So, we installed the arch in the rain, hoping that the clouds would clear.  And that they did!  They had beautiful weather all throughout the ceremony and then the clouds rolled back in and it began to rain again.  We were just so glad it was perfect for the ceremony!

We so enjoyed working on this wedding with Kelly from Frosted Pink Weddings.  I loved working with her and her staff.  They are incredibly organized, smart, fun, and did a great job planning and coordinating this wedding!

Congrats Jamie & Bryan!

Colorful bridesmaid bouquets made of pink peonies, yellow garden roses, billy balls, orange and magenta spray roses and green immature hydrangea.  They were all tied in an adorable yellow and white striped ribbon.

Have I mentioned that I loooooove yellow?  I do!  And I loved combining brightly colored florals to make this wedding bright and cheery.

Vail Wedding Flowers | Larkspur Restaurant | Shadi & Jonathan

Even though I do flowers for about 40 weddings a year, I still love weddings.  I love celebrating with friends, crying through the ceremony, dancing the night away, and I LOVE holding my husband's hand and remembering the day we got married ourselves.  Marriage is a big deal.  I believe it is created by God for our good.  So naturally, it feels like an honor to share in the celebration of a friends' wedding.

Enter Jonathan and Shadi.  I love these two.  I have had the honor of getting to know them the last few years through serving together on our church's youth staff.  Both have so much inner beauty, kindness, and concern for others.  It was a blast to share in celebrating their marriage. Congrats, Jonathan & Shadi!

We also had the honor of designing Jonathan & Shadi's personal and cermeony flowers in beautiful Vail.  I love how they turned out.
