Winter Wedding in Estes Park | The Della Terra | Molly + Zach

Winter weddings are some of my favorite to design!  Maybe it's because they are few and far between in a state that could either be an insane blizzard or beautiful and sunny on any given day in January.  Either way, I adore the textures, colors, and types of flowers that are available in January.  And when we go with the season and what florals are available in their prime, it adds to my glee.

Molly was a joy to work with, and I know I say this a lot, but her and Zack are beautiful people.  They are obviously a gorgeous pair, but they are also gracious, kind, and overall beautiful inside and out.  I so enjoyed working with them!

For Molly & Zach's winter wedding in Estes Park, at the Della Terra Mountain Château, we designed florals that were both modern and seasonal.  We used beautiful, white amaryllis, freesia, black and white anenomes, silver brunia, mini pinecones, roses, dusty miller, pine branches, eucalyptus, and blue privet berries.  Oh, how I love how these bouquets and centerpieces turned out.  For centerpieces, we designed in lovely birch wrapped pots and used full sized pinecones.  Cozy accents like sweater-wrapped vases, yarn balls, and wood rounds were used as accents on escort card tables, cocktail tables, and a beautiful table full of wedding pictures from the bride and groom's families.

Congrats, Molly & Zach!  Enjoy marriage.  It's the best thing ever!

Della Terra Wedding Florist | Cori Cook + Audrey Hannah

I just love the textures and colors for this beautiful Della Terra wedding we did in August!  Isn't it lovely?  And I love when our flowers get to be the only "pop" of color in a wedding against darker, contrasting bridesmaid dresses!

One of our favorite things about this season was getting to design for more weddings in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.  We have designed for numerous weddings now at the Della Terra in Estes Park, and love this venue.  Not only is it a gorgeous location for a wedding, but their staff is super accommodating and stress free!  If you're looking for a venue in the mountains, you should definitely check it out!

Bridesmaids Bouquets were hand-tied bouquets with lots of textured florals including hydrangea, dahlias, ranunculus, "Darcy" garden roses, spray roses, mokara orchids, silver brunua, and dusty miller.  Boutonniereswere made of a dusty miller leaf, mokara orchids and silver brunia tied in a navy grosgrain ribbon.

Love these sassy bridesmaids!

The Bridal Bouquet was made of calla lilies, "Patience" garden roses, lisianthus, ranunculus, astible, and veronica.  I love how it turned out!

Summer Brides | Part 1

It's a New Year at Cori Cook Floral Design and we are so excited for what is in store for 2011!  We are blessed to have the best clients in the world (I'm serious!) and we really cannot wait for the summer madness to begin.  This week we will be introducing you to a few of the couples that we will be designing wedding flowers for this summer.  I so enjoyed putting together these posts as I felt like it showcased the love story of each couple and the individual style of their photographers.  If you don't already have your photographer chosen, I would highly recommend checking out these talented choices.  Enjoy!

Aren't these two adorable?  Beth & Robbie will tie the knot at Piney River Ranch with a reception to follow at The Donovan Pavilion in Vail. I'm so excited for the opportunity to do several weddings this summer with their photographer, Kira Horvath Photography.

I love mountain weddings! Heather & Josh will marry and have their reception at the Donovan Pavilion at Vail.   Their photographer, David of Gaston Photography is one of the very first people I met in Denver and has been a constant source of encouragement and great photography!  Luckily, we will be working a lot together this summer!

I couldn't love this urban engagement session more.  Cara & Andrew will have their ceremony and reception at Hotel Monaco in Denver.  Can't wait for their wedding flowers!  I love working with their photographer, Audrey Hannah Photo, who is not only a fabulous photographer, but a great friend as well!

Allison & Jason will have their ceremony and reception at The Villa Parker.  Their wedding style will be inspired by the peacock feather---fun!  Photography by David of Gaston Photography.

Look at these pictures!  Beautiful!  Rachael & Kanit will have their ceremony and reception at The Della Terra in Estes Park.  Their wedding will be designed and coordinated by the fabulous Debbie from Save the Date Events.  Their photographer is a great friend of mine and amazing photographer: Becky of Becky Young Photography.  If you've read my blog long, you know I'm her #1 fan!

Kirsten & Kurt will be married at Willow Ridge Manor in Morrison.  Their photographer is the fabulous Becky of Becky Young Photography.

Kate & Derek will have their ceremony and reception at The Oxford Hotel.  Their photographer is David of Gaston Photography.

Shannon & Bryan will marry at The Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Denver.  Their reception will be at a private residence.  The beloved Continental Divine will cater the event (my fav caterer!).  Photography by Andrew Clark.

Keeley & James will marry at the Washington Park United Methodist Church.  Their reception will follow at Chief Hosa Lodge.  I love any opportunity I get to work with their photographer, Dawn Sparks.

Don't worry!  We have way more brides and grooms to showcase...more to come (:
