One of the biggest honors of my job is doing the wedding flowers of friends I have been lucky enough to make in my industry.  Jessica and I have become great friends over the past few years.  We both share a love for beautiful things and so when I was approached about doing her wedding, I was thrilled!  To my delight, she assembled a dream team of like-minded vendors who are both extremely talented and tons of fun.  I really could go on and on, but the point is:  BRIDES TO BE!  Hire us together and you will get brilliance (:

Rachel & Jonathan

Rachel = One of my best friends in the world, my college roommate, and my absolute favorite person in the world to thrift store shop with...

Jonathan = Everything you would want and more for a friend that you think deserves the most beautiful, romantic love story of all time!

Rachel is one of the most romantically-geared friends I have.  She has always dreamed of being caught up in a beautiful, spontaneous, fairy-tale sort of romance.  And the good news is that her dream came true when she met Jonathan.  I can't think of a person who compliments Rachel better than Jonathan.

This December they were married in Dallas, Texas, and I had the honor of being a bridesmaid and resident floral teacher for her wedding.  Under my instruction, the bridesmaids and a few brave relatives assembled all the florals for the wedding including everything from boutonnieres and corsages to their own bouquets and 12 centerpieces.  I am proud to say that they were all quick learners and fantastically creative! 

I love you, Rach!  It was an honor and joy to be a part of your wedding.  I wish you and Jonathan the best and am excited to be "married friends!"

Rachel is a very thoughtful, intentional person, so is it any surprise that she wanted to use a piece of lace from her grandmother's wedding dress and a vintage brooch on her bouquet?  Loved it.

ASHLEY SIMPSON'S Wedding

Okay, that subject was for shock value---Although this Ashley Simpson isn't famous, she is every bit as cool as the super star Ashley Simpson!  I met Ashley at a bridal show in April---I met several hundred brides that day, but Ashley stuck out to me because of her funny, carefree, and relaxed personality and approach to wedding planning.  She and her sweet-now-husband, Darren, were a lot of fun to work with.  Ashley wanted hot pink bridesmaid bouquets to "pop" against their turquoise dresses.  We choose seasonal blooms (which you can't beat in June) and used peonies, garden roses, and viburnum.  The guys wore spotted pink mokara orchid boutonnieres.  Thanks Ashley & Darren for the joy to be a part of your wedding!  Congrats (:
